2. Parque Eduardo VII

If you are living in an apartment or residence for students in Lisbon in the Marquês de Pombal area, surely you know Parque Eduardo VII, the largest park in the center of Lisbon; a great place to see the sunset – or the sunrise – in Lisbon.

If you go up from the square, you will find the park full of activities and a breathtaking view. In the park there are also 3 greenhouses: one with a wooden cover, located inside a quarry; and two other more traditional greenhouses, with glass ceilings, which house more exotic plants and various species of cacti.

The park is also known as one of the reference places in Lisbon for concerts and outdoor events. It’s worth a look!

3. Santa Catarina viewpoint

The neighborhood of Santa Catarina borders Bairro Alto and is a residential area full of lovely houses painted in pastel colors. This area is very popular precisely because of the Miradouro de Santa Catarina, which offers one of the best places to enjoy the sunset.

Generally, in normal times, the atmosphere is very lively and magical, with wide terraces, live music and an inspiring view over the Tagus estuary and the rooftops of the neighborhood.

The statue of Adamastor, a mythical sea monster, also does not go unnoticed – a statue created by Camões that symbolizes the cable feared by many Portuguese sailors. Today, Northwind has ceased to be a haunted place and has become a great place to watch the sunset.
